Luke R. Montoya
I'm an Aerospace Engineering student minoring in Economics at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where I combine technical training with strong analytical and decision-making skills, and have earned Dean's List recognition. I'm also a licensed private pilot who recently earned my Instrument Rating. My aviation journey began with flying lessons at age 10, my first solo at 16, and earning my Private Pilot License at 17. I've logged over 100 flight hours and 166 landings, and I continue working toward advanced certifications to grow in the field.

Professionally, I've gained hands-on experience as a Line Technician and ATC Data Analyst, where I developed skills in aviation operations, technical analysis, and team-based problem-solving. Most recently, I've been consulting for Syncly, a software company building an AI-based mobile app that analyzes the biomechanics of a golf swing, applying over a decade of competitive golf experience, including my time as a Division I collegiate player, to help refine the app's accuracy.

Outside the classroom and cockpit, I've been passionate about golf since I was 3 years old. I competed in the World Junior Golf Championship at 7 and was recruited as a Division I student-athlete at 16. At 10, I co-founded We Golf Fore Good with three friends. We've since grown the organization into an 18-member youth-led team that has raised $134,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Bay Area and One Tree Planted through annual charity tournaments. I continue to compete at the amateur level, motivated by both a love for the game and a desire to make a positive impact.
